Life support turned off for ex-Silver Fern Tania Dalton

On 1 March, former Silver Ferns netballer Tania Dalton passed away after collapsing during a social game of touch rugby in Takapuna six days earlier.

She had suffered an internal carotid artery aneurysm.

On 28 February, Dalton's life support was turned off after test results revealed the damage of her internal aneurysm was irreversible.

Dalton was capped 37 times for the Silver Ferns between 1996 and 2007, winning the 2003 Netball World Championships in Kingston, Jamaica.

Following her retirement from netball, she worked as a commentator for Sky TV.

Tania Dalton was 45 years of age.
