It has been a rollercoaster of a month for Silver Ferns captain Katrina Grant.
Just days after the low of missing out on a medal at the Commonwealth Games, Grant has hit a high in her personal life, today announcing that she was engaged.
The 30-year-old announced her happy newson Instagram, with the defender now engaged to Joel Rore, who she met last year at a teammate's wedding.
The couple is holidaying at a golf resort in Fiji following the Ferns' dismal campaign, that included four defeats - their worst performance in Games history.
"From last week being the lowest of lows to this week being the highest of highs! 'YES' is and always will be my answer. I love you my fiancé," Grant posted.
"For a team with the proud history of the Silver Ferns, fourth is not good enough. We accept that this is the latest loss in a series of performances that were far from the best we have come to expect from one of New Zealand's leading sports teams," said Wyllie.
Over the past few months, the Ferns have been on a downward spiral, losing multiple times to their three biggest rivals England, Jamaica and Australia.

"Of course we have pride in this black dress. It means a lot to every single one of us," Grant said at the time.
"We were little kids, you know younger girls growing up playing netball, and this is all we wanted. There's a lot of pride in this dress and it's a lot to take."
