Netball: Samoa, Cooks through to world champs

Samoa beat Papua New Guinea 74-44 at the Oceania world netball championship qualifying tournament in Suva tonight.

The victory means Samoa and the Cook Islands will play in the world championships in Suva next year.

The Linda Vagana-coached Samoan outfit proved too classy for PNG.

Samoa scored the first goal in the match and never looked back. easing they way to the 30-point win.

The Cook Islands beat PNG 64-54 yesterday.

Samoa meet the Cooks tomorrow night in the last game of the qualifying series.
