Netball: Aussies trade words over Kiwi import

Netball Victoria has slammed New South Wales team Hunter Jaegers for drafting New Zealand shooter Daneka Wipiiti into their team.

Wipiiti, 23, a former Silver Fern, helped Hunter Jaegers move close to their first Commonwealth Bank Trophy semifinal by beating Perth 56-50 last Friday. They are in fourth place in the competition.

Her inclusion is allowed under the competition rules, but Netball Victoria said it was a "desperate measure" that had wider repercussions.
