Multisport: Speight's Coast to Coast to be televised live

For the first time in its 22 year history the Speight's Coast to Coast multisport event will be broadcast live on television.

Several hours of coverage will be shown from 5.45am on Saturday February 6 on Sky Sport.

Race organiser Robin Judkins said today the announcement was one of the most exciting things to happen to the event.

"People will be able to view the action live and really get a sense of how gruelling and thrilling this race is."

Competitors run, kayak and cycle from Kumara beach on the Westcoast through Arthur's Pass to Sumner beach in Christchurch.
