Truck driver taken to hospital after spectacular crash at Teretonga Park

A driver has escaped uninjured after his truck slammed into a barrier and rolled during a motorsport event at Invercargill's Teretonga Park last night.

Racing was suspended for over two hours at the NZ Super Truck competition after David West lost control of his truck on pit straight and smashed into the barrier.

The Southland Sports Car Club released a statement saying West appeared unhurt but would be taken to hospital for a check up.
