Weeks after standing on the podium at the end of the 24 Hours of Le Mans after finishing second in the LMP2 class, Mitch Evans is walking the Silverstone track in England in preparation for round four of the GP2 championship.
As he goes through what can be only regardedas another frustrating season in the category one down from Formula One, Evans remains stoic in his belief that consistency is just around the corner.
When the young Kiwi has been given the tools to do his job well, he's been as quick as anyone else in the field.
He had a second-place finish in Spain in May, and is hoping Silverstone will be a repeat of last year to get his championship tilt back on track. Sixth isn't really where he wants to be at the moment.
"Getting my first GP2 win at Silverstone will help me this weekend, that's for sure," said Evans.
"Hopefully I'll be able to have a similar weekend this year. We all know how unpredictable the championship is so we'll keep our expectation in check.
"If we have a good weekend and get on the podium, the points will help us in the championship.
"It's been a bit frustrating again this year, as it has with the other GP2 seasons. It's consistency that we lack. The top teams have it and it is so important. We need to find something similar, and hopefully this weekend we can start to get into the points regularly."
Silverstone is one of the more demanding tracks on the calendar, and teams will have their work cut out to get the most out of the car and their drivers.
As always in GP2, tyre management will be critical to any success and Pirelli has nominated hard and medium for the weekend's racing.
