Brian and Aroha Reardon win early bird motorcycle prize

Whanganui couple Brian and Aroha Reardon with the latest addition to their motorcycle fleet, a limited edition 2018 UK10 Suzuki won in the Suzuki Series early bird ticket promotion.

Brian and Aroha Reardon struck double gold when they decided to buy their 2017 Suzuki Series early bird tickets online.

The Whanganui couple won the early bird promotion drawn by Ticketek then managed to broker a deal with series sponsor Suzuki New Zealand to land a a prize that suited family needs.

The main prize offered by the promotion to buy early bird tickets to any or all three of meetings in the series that ended on the streets of Whanganui on the legendary Cemetery Circuit on Boxing Day was a Suzuki Gixxer 150.

"That model didn't really suit family needs, so we asked supplier Whitelock Suzuki in Whanganui whether we could have a scooter instead to update Aroha's 1994 model Suzuki," Brian Reardon said.

"Whitelock had a 2018 UK10 limited edition scooter in the Suzuki grand prix colours and that was ideal, so we asked if we could have that instead. Both Suzuki New Zealand and Whitelock were happy to accommodate us, so big up to them both.

"I bought the tickets online with Aroha in mind, so I'm glad we were able to get a bike that suited," Reardon said.

The Reardon's are very much a motorcycle racing family with both Brian and son Seth talented motocross riders.

Suzuki New Zealand general manager motorcycles and ATV marketing, Simon Meade said he was delighted the prize went to Whanganui customers.

"I was so glad it went to Whanganui couple Brian and Aroha Reardon, they are a motorcycle racing family and when they asked to swap their prize for the scooter I was more than happy to agree," Meade said.
