Motorsport: Skaife finds early form

Holden Racing Team (HRT) completed a successful V8 Supercar pre-season weekend when Mark Skaife took out race three of the non-championship event at the Australian Grand Prix yesterday.

Skaife produced a superb passing manoeuvre on defending series champion Marcos Ambrose on lap three of the 10-lap race and held on to win from the Fords of Ambrose and Russell Ingall.

Skaife's victory capped off a great weekend for his HRT team.

It followed his two podium finishes in the opening two races, as well as team-mate Todd Kelly's win in Friday's race one.
