Shane Stewart has signed on for the Porter Hire International Sprint Car Series to be hosted at both Vodafone Speedway and Robertson Holden Speedway in Palmerston North in early December.
Shane will pilot the United Truck Parts J&J Sprint Car owned by Brian and Annette Theobald. Crew Chief, Shaun Insley
will be assisted by Peter Murphy in preparing the car for the intense schedule of races. "It's great to have a driver like Shane here", said Insley," he is definitely going to be one to watch with this Series", he said.
Shane Stewart has driven full-time since 2014 in the #2 Larson Marks Racing Sprint Car owned by both NASCAR's Kyle Larson and former NASCAR driver Justin Marks. He is coming off a high with his recent fourth place finish at Knoxville this past weekend, having finished on the podium last year. To date he has won in excess of 100-winged Sprint Car races and his crusade to win more races has continued right through the 2017 season in the US.
The Porter Hire International Sprint Car Series is scheduled to start on the 9th December at Western Springs. 'Team USA' has both Tony and Shane Stewart signed on, with three additional drivers from the US to be announced shortly.
