Kiwi speedway driver Michael Pickens has finished his two-week US trip with third overall in the USAC Indiana Speed Week.
The Aucklander, who claimed the POWRi Illinoios Speed Week title last week, finished seventh in today's feature race to third place in the championship.
He did lead the series headinginto today's finale.
Pickens is rapt with his performance on the trip however which yielded two POWRi wins and the overall series win plus two more USAC wins.
"Our USA campaign has come to an end - what a full on few weeks, full of lots of highs as well as a few lows (including hot laps tonight)," Pickens said via Facebook.
"Thanks to our crew Justin, Brock and Daniel for giving me a bad, fast car night after night, these guys have worked their butts off and I can't thank them enough.
"Thanks to all of our Givealittle sponsors and car owners Brett and Leigh Morris, and thanks to the locals for making us feel at home - I had some 'dream come true' moments and it was all thanks to you for believing in me.
