Competition is heating up at the Taupo A1GP with lap times starting to fall after the second practice session.
The third practice for the Ferrari-powered A1 cars will finish at 3pm this afternoon. It will see the teams' number one drivers pushing even harder in preparation for tomorrow
morning's qualifying session.
Switzerland set the fastest time of the session with a 1:18.091, followed by France and surprisingly fast Lebanon.
New Zealand driver Chris van der Drift, who told nzherald.co.nz this morning that the car is "feeling really, really good," lapped in 1:18.413 as the session ended.
The Toyota Racing Series, Porsche GT3s, V8Utes and Muscle Cars will all qualify for tomorrow's racing this afternoon.
