The fourth round of the Toyota Racing Series hits the track at the Taupo Motorsport Park this weekend and four drivers are starting to pull away from the rest of the field.
Canadian Lance Stroll and Indian Arjun Maini have been the two most consistent so far and it's Strollwho holds a 55-point advantage over Maini, with Frenchman Brandon Maisano and American Santino Ferrucci rounding out the top four.
The four New Zealanders in the field - James Munro, Damon and Brendon Leitch and Jamie Conroy - have struggled so far in the series and have been beset with mechanical woes.
They all have shown flashes of excellence with Brendon Leitch and Conroy winning and Munro getting on the podium.
Consistency, however, has been missing and the best-placed Kiwi is Munro in sixth with the Leitch brothers ninth and 10th with Conroy in 12th.
With only two rounds to go, the Kiwis will really have to put it all on the line if they are to be in the hunt at the New Zealand Grand Prix meeting at Manfeild next weekend.
