Indycar driver Robert Wickens's full list of injuries suffered in his horrific crash at Pocono last month has been revealed.
The Canadian underwent more surgery on his hands and legs and is set to be transferred to a rehabilitation facility next week but his family has explained the full listof injuries he suffered when his car flew into the air and into the safety fencing at the Pennsylvania track.
The 29-year-old Wickens suffered a thoracic spinal fracture, a spinal cord injury, neck fracture, fractures to his tibia and fibula in both legs, fractures in both hands, a fractured right forearm, fracture elbow, four fractured ribs and a pulmonary contusion.
The severity of the spinal cord injury is not yet known and could take months to fully showcase itself.
"The road to Robert's recovery will be a long and tough one, but we hope you'll be alongside us cheering him on. BETTER. STRONGER. FASTER" team co-owners Sam Schmidt and Ric Peterson said via statement.
