New Zealand Warriors forward Richard Villasanti is expected to be fit for the club's premiership opener against Manly after initial scans cleared him of a neck injury.

Villasanti injured his neck in a head clash with team-mate Monty Betham during his side's big win over an invitational President's Selection at North Harbour Stadium yesterday.

The former test forward was taken to hospital where scans cleared him of injury.

Villasanti will undergo further tests but is expected to be fit for the Warriors round one game against the Sea Eagles at Ericsson Stadium on March 13.
