New Zealand cricket coach Mike Hesson and his key support staff have re-signed until after the 2019 World Cup.
Hesson, batting coach Craig McMillan, manager Mike Sandle and strength and conditioning coach Chris Donaldson, have re-committed en bloc.
In the world rankings the Black Caps are ranked No.5 in tests,
No.2 in one-day internationals and No.1 in T20s.
New Zealand Cricket have made the move to be proactive in their succession planning and to offer team stability under new captain Kane Williamson.
"It was important for us to retain the intellectual property and institutional knowledge that these people have developed," NZC chief executive David White said.
Hesson was originally contracted through until next year. He said he was still motivated to coach the national side on a daily basis.
"It's a privilege to be a part of the Black Caps culture and I feel lucky to contribute to that for a little bit longer.
He said Sandle, Donaldson and McMillan were globally respected in their roles.
"We also have a new leader in Kane, which will bring some changes and that's something to be excited by, too.
"Kane has his own style and philosophy, but it's also important he has the support which allows him and the team to thrive."
