In the mid-90s, this dynamic duo won two double sculls world titles, for which they were admitted into the NZ Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. Back together again, they will contest their specialist event at 12.48pm on Lake Karapiro.
BASKETBALL - FERNS
Thirteen years after beating
China and Korea to progress to the Athens Olympic quarterfinals, the Tall Ferns women are back together and unbeaten in the 35+ division. Led by double international Donna Wilkins (nee Loffhagen), they take on NZ Defence Force at North Shore Events Centre, 12.30pm.
VOLLEYBALL - HUGH McCUTCHEON
Internationally respected US-based Kiwi coach McCutcheon makes a cameo appearance for the SLOTHs (Southern League Old Boys) at Trusts Arena (10am) and is then invested with his NZ Order of Merit at Government House (2pm).
CYCLING - REG RYE
Assuming he gets through his opening event on Wednesday night, New Zealand's oldest competitor will turn out for the 500 metres time trial at the Cambridge Avantidrome, 10am.
ATHLETICS - MAN KAUR
If you missed her earlier in the week, here's one last chance to see a force of nature in action - the 101-year-old Indian woman should collect her fourth gold medal in the javelin at Waitakere's Trusts Arena, 10.50am.
