Live streaming: Cardrona - Legends of Steel

Cardrona are bringing 16 of the region's best skiers & boarders together in Queenstown for The Legends of Steel downtown street rail showdown.

The event kicks off the Queenstown Winter Festival.

The Legends of Steel is a Ski & Snowboard head to head teams battle hosted live under lights below the stairs on Brecon Street, Queenstown.

Two teams of eight riders (Championed by Nico Porteous & Zoi Sadowski Synnott) will battle for the supreme award of "The Legends of Steel".

COMPETITION SCHEDULE & FORMAT
5pm Round 1 | Rookie Qualifier | Invitational rail Jam session for skiers & snowboarders to select four riders to draft onto Team Porteous or team Sadowski Synnott (2 on each team).
Rookie Draft | Selection, introduction & presentation of the team jersey to 4 riders advancing to Showdown.
6.30pm Round 2 | Team Seeding | Team 1 then Team 2 ranking runs to determine pairs for the elimination round.
7.15pm Round 3 | Head to Head Battle | 8 pairs compete head to head to win points towards the Legends of Steel team title.
