Fiji Bati players have threatened to boycott future rugby league tests after claiming they have yet to be paid for making last year's Rugby League World Cup semifinal.
Fijian officials confirmed on Monday the players released a statement that also demanded a leadership overhaul of the current Fiji National Rugby
League board.
"The Fiji Bati players are now demanding to be paid and will stand down from playing another test/international in 2018," the statement read.
Fiji, led by a host of NRL players including Jarryd Hayne and Kevin Naiqama, finished top of group D in last year's World Cup before making history by knocking New Zealand out of the tournament in the quarterfinals.
They were just the second tier-two rugby league nation to beat a tier-one side, after Tonga beat New Zealand earlier in the competition.
