Kiwi freestyle skier Jossi Wells has picked up an X Games medal in Aspen this morning.
The 21-year-old won bronze in the Big Air in the Winter X Games.
Wells says he's over the moon. He says after two poor results earlier in the day, he couldn't be happier toget on the podium.
He says it's hugely satisfying to deliver on the biggest stage in the sport.
Wells has previously won two silver medals in the Winter X Games, and narrowly missed out on gaining a third. He finished just one point behind second-placed Kai Mahler of Switzerland, who scored 84 out of 100.
Wells' score of 83 was made up from his two best runs - a doublecork 1260 and a switch doublecork 1440, scoring 44 and 39 points.
Bobby Brown of the United States took out the gold medal with 88 points.
Wells threw his helmet into the crowd from the podium to celebrate his success, where it was picked up by Tim Pierce - a photographer from Wells' hometown of Wanaka.
