Footballing superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been caught in a liking spree on Instagram.

The Real Madrid standout has been discovered liking four of Australian actress Margot Robbie's Instagram pictures, starting rumours as to whether he's hitting on the up-and-coming actress.

Ronaldo's liking spree even went back to pictures taken in March 2014, with the Portugese 30-year old single after breaking up with long-term girlfriend Irina Shayk earlier this year.

Ronaldo has also previously dated English models Alice Goodwin and Gemma Atkinson during his time spent in England with Manchester United.

Ronaldo may be out of luck however - Robbie has been dating film director Tom Ackerley for over a year.
