Dan Carter celebrated the start of 2016 with a glass of French bubbles while Sonny Bill Williams was up early this morning training.
Carter had a year to remember in 2015 after leading the All Blacks to a World Cup title with a man of the match performance in the
final over Australia. A week later he was named World Rugby player of the year.
Since the tournament he has moved his family to France where he is playing for Paris side Racing 92. He tweeted an image celebrating as well as an image with his eldest son Marco from early on New Year's Eve.
