Korea claimed back the lead with just over 10 minutes to go in the first half following some classy passing up field which Hyo You finished off.
In the second spell, an early Andy Hayward drag flick gave the home side some confidence but it wasn't long before Korea were back in front.
With just under 15 minutes to go, their highly successful penalty corner combination was to the fore again with a drag flick goal. The visitors put the result beyond doubt with a field goal with five minutes left.
A penalty corner goal from Shea McAleese right on full time was too little too late for the Black Sticks.
