New Zealand Herald sports journalists have been recognised in nominations for the T.P. McLean national sports journalism awards.
Dana Johannsen is a finalist for sports news reporter - print, and sports feature writer, for work including her ground-breaking series on concussion written in partnership with Dylan Cleaver.
Cleaver has been nominated for sports columnist.
Photographers Brett Phibbs and Richard Robinson are finalists in the best community sport, recreation and adventure portfolio.
The good news did not end there.
Herald on Sunday reporters Gregor Paul and Andrew Alderson ensured a clean sweep of the sports news reporter category with their nominations, while Paul, now on tour with the All Blacks, is also a finalist in sports columnist.
Alderson is also a finalist for community sport, recreation and adventure reporting.
APNZ writer Kris Shannon has been nominated for the D.J. Cameron young writer award.
The winners will be announced this month.
