The inaugural Womens Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship tees off at the Sentosa Golf Club, Singapore this week with a squad of six amateurs travelling to Singapore to represent New Zealand from 21-24 February.
New Zealand received six player invitations into the championship with Wenyung Keh, Amelia Garvey, Juliana Hung, Britney Dryland,
Rose Zheng and Caryn Khoo all securing their place based on World Amateur Golf Rankings and availability.
Khoo who makes her debut New Zealand appearance is excited about the week ahead in what is the biggest event of her career thus far.
"Its exciting to be part of the squad and challenge myself against some of the best amateurs in the world," said the 24-year-old.
"Its been a good year for me and hopefully I can make the most of this opportunity in Singapore."
The event will be televised in over 70 countries and reach millions of homes around the world as we look to crown the first ever champion.
The winner will receive an invitation to play in two major championships this year, the RICOH Womens British Open and the ANA Inspiration, as well as a place in the starting field of the prestigious HSBC Womens World Championship on the same course, the following week.
