Tiger Woods 'trying everything' to make Masters field

Four-time champion Tiger Woods says he is 'trying everything' to return from injury to play the Masters next month.

Woods last played an even in February but only lasted until the second round of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic before pulling out of the tournament because of a back injury.

Woods has missed the Masters two of the last three years and didn't play at any major tournaments last season.

When asked whether he thinks he will get a chance to play at Augusta National early April the 14-time major winner told Good Morning America: "God, I hope so.

"I'm trying. I'm trying everything extra to be able to get back and play."

Woods first won the Masters in 1997 by a massive 12-strokes becoming the tournament's youngest ever winner at 21.

"I love that event. It's meant so much to me in my life. It was the first major that I ever played, back in '95," he said.

"It has so much history and meaning to me, I'd love to get back.

"I need to get back physically. I know that the mind is sharp, I just need to get the body willing to do it."
