The four-time Major champion sometimes appears superhuman on a golf course, but his latest effort in a sponsor event for Omega could well topthe lot.
Fully kitted out as an astronaut, McIlroy let rip and still sends the ball racing over 300 yards away, a feat any golfing enthusiast dressed in normal attire would be proud of.
The Northern Irishman was joined on the green by Masters champion Sergio Garcia to film the advert, ahead of the start of the PGA Championship.
The final Major of the year begins at Quail Hollow in North Carolina on Thursday.
After arriving in a moon buggy and hitting a few shots out of the bunker on the course that will host the final Major of 2017, they removed their helmets to reveal their identities.
They then took party in a longest-drive contest, with McIlroy ripping a particularly powerful strike well down the fairway.
The European pair will most likely ditch their rather cumbersome space suits for some altogether more traditional clothing as they aim to end the summer on a high this week.
McIlroy will be among the favourites after a respectable showing, but he will do well to come out on top against Open champion Jordan Spieth, who is looking to complete a career Grand Slam at just 24.
