New Zealand Open champion Daniel Hillier will make play in his maiden PGA Championship in the United States after being named in the field for next week’s major at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania.
His place in the field was confirmed overnight with Hillier gaining a special invitation to theevent, which is offered to the top 100 players in the world.
Hillier is 92 in the current world rankings following a strong start to the 2026 season including three top five finishes on the DP World Tour with his victory at Millbrook Resort.
Hillier has previously appeared at five majors with a best finish of tied for 19th at the 2024 Open Championship. His only major on American soil was the 2019 US Open where he missed the cut as an amateur.
He will join Ryan Fox in the PGA Championship field with Fox playing in his 27th career major after earning his spot with a PGA Tour win last year.
