GULLANE, SCOTLAND - JULY 15: Ryan Fox of New Zealand walks to the tee on hole two during day four of the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open at Gullane Golf Course on July 15, 2018 in Gullane
It's fair to say July has been a pretty good month for Kiwi golfer Ryan Fox.
Following his career best finish at a major this morning, when Fox finished 39th at the British Open, he took his earnings this month to NZ$1,576,000 (€913,000) in prize money over four tournaments.
The
amount is mainly due to a second placing at the Irish Open which brought a payday of NZ$1,149,000. The following week he finished sixth at theScottish Open earning another NZ$310,000.
In three weeks Fox has won twice what he earned in prize money since January (NZ$710,000).
A professional since 2015, the 31-year-old is in the shape of his career. Playing the weekend at the British Open meant he's made the cut at the last two majors following a finish of tied-41st at the US Open.
