Danny Lee has had one of his most turbulent days as a professional golfer, plummeting down the leaderboard at the PGA Championship this morning.
Lee was excellently poised in a tie for 12th at five-under par when play was suspended yesterday due to thunderstorms, leaving Lee to complete the lastfive holes of his second round the following morning.
That's where trouble hit, with Lee falling apart overnight at golf's fourth major championship.
A triple-bogey on the par-five fifth saw Lee's chances of competing for a major title evaporate, before a double bogey on seven and a bogey on eight had him in danger of missing the cut completely.
Eventually, Lee signed for a five-over 77 and a tie for 61st place, before having to head back out almost immediately for his third round.
There, Lee picked off like the previous five holes hadn't even occurred, shooting four birdies in his first five holes to make up for some of his early morning losses and leap back up the leaderboard.
He couldn't keep it going however, with two bogies and a birdie scattered throughout an array of pars, signing for a third round three-under 69.
Although he made his first ever cut at a major, Lee will be wondering what could have been.
