Golf: Tate swings into big time

Stacey Tate will chase the biggest prize of her fledgling golf career when she contests the United States women's amateur championship next week.

The former North Harbour and New Zealand representative has been on a golf scholarship at the University of Memphis since 2004.

Tate, 21, topped qualifiers at the sectional event in Atlanta where she shot a seven-under 65.
