New Zealand golfers Danny Lee and Ryan Fox have both recorded top 30 finishes on their respective tours this morning.
Lee finished in a tie for 30th at The Barclays on the PGA Tour, with a final round even par 70 seeing him finish at two-under for the tournament. Itis Lee's sixth top 30 finish in his last eight starts.
The tournament is the first of the FedEx Cup playoffs, with the top 100 players on the year-long FedEx Cup leaderboard advancing to next week's event. Lee came into the week 10th on the leaderboard and is projected to remain there, meaning he will be in action next weekend at the Deutsche Bank Championship.
The winner of the FedEx Cup receives US $10,000,000 - the biggest prize in world golf.
PGA Championship champion Jason Day made it back-to-back wins, shooting sizzling weekend rounds of 63 and 62, with his eight-under round of 62 today scorching the field to finish at 19-under, winning by six shots over Swede Henrik Stenson.
On the European Tour, Fox finished in a tie for 27th at six-under at the D+D Real Czech Masters after shooting a final round one-over par 73.
Weekend rounds of 67 and 69 put Fox in a position to further his impressive world ranking of 124, and although his final round saw him slip 10 spots, he still took home 8,900 euros in a rare foray onto the European Tour.
Fox has now made eight consecutive cuts, with five top ten finishes as he looks increasingly likely to book a full-time spot on the European Tour next season.
