Danny Lee can eye the magic top 125 on the PGA Tour money list.
The Kiwi number one is in a tie for seventh at the latest event in California sitting at 10-under par, five shots off the lead of American John Mallinger.
Lee needs at least a top five finish to move closer to the top 125 where he would automatically retain his tour card for next year.
He recorded a four-under par 67 today and says he was hitting it well.
"Everything I hit seemed like it was going at the flag and I made a lot of birdies but I made a couple of silly mistakes with the putter.
