Australian Jason Day has been placed in a superstar grouping with world No1 Dustin Johnson and 2016 British Open champion Henrik Stenson for the opening round of the US PGA Championship this week.
The PGA of America yesterday released the tee times of marquee groups for the first two roundsof the year's final major which starts on Friday (NZT).
Australian world No7 Day, who broke through for his maiden major title by winning the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits in 2015, will tee off in the first round alongside big-hitting Johnson and world No8 Stenson.
But all eyes will be on world No2 Jordan Spieth, who after capturing last month's British Open has a chance to complete the career grand slam at North Carolina's Quail Hollow.
The 24-year-old Spieth will be joined by reigning Masters champion Sergio Garcia and June's US Open winner Brooks Koepka.
World No4 Rory McIlroy, a two-time PGA Championship winner, is grouped with No6 Jon Rahm and No11 Rickie Fowler, while defending PGA champion Jimmy Walker plays alongside 2013 winner Jason Dufner and five-time major champion Phil Mickelson.
Kiwi Danny Lee tees off with Marc Leishman (Australia) and Indian star Anirban Lahiri. Ryan Fox is paired with American JJ Wood and China's Haotong Li.
