Golf: Iles second at Coolum

New Zealand golfer Bradley Iles was second after the first round of the Australian PGA Championship at Coolum in Queensland yesterday.

Iles, who has been playing as a professional for a year, scored a seven-under-65 on the par-72 course, racking up 11 pars and seven birdies.

He was one shot behind James Nitties, of Australia. Australians Nick O'Hern, Jarrod Lyle, Peter O'Malley and Marc Leishman are third on 66.
