Josh Geary and Ryan Fox are the best placed Kiwi golfers after the opening round of the European Tour's Perth international.
They've both opened with even par rounds to be tied for 47th, seven shots off the lead.
American Peter Uihlein will be aiming to build on his lead when
the second round of the begins today.
Uihlein shot a seven-under 65 yesterday to take a one-shot lead over Indian Shiv Kapur and Frenchman Romain Wattel.
World No.21 Louis Oosthuizen shot a two-under 70, while Frenchman Victor Dubuisson faces a fight to avoid the cut after posting a five-over 77.
