Golf: Course record achieved at The Hills

Callan O'Reilly has shot a course record at The Hills with an 11-under par 61 to take the joint-lead at the New Zealand Golf Open.

He had eight birdies on the back nine, to go with three birdies on the front nine.

O'Reilly joins fellow Australian Daniel Nisbet on 14-under overall.

Tim Wilkinson is the best of the New Zealanders at 11-under par.

He shot seven-under par 65 at The Hills today to go with his four-under par 67 at Millbrook yesterday.

The field for the 99th edition of the event played in cool, overcast conditions this morning, with sun bursting through this afternoon.
