Golf: Brake leads all the way

Whakatane golfer Zoe Brake won the national amateur women's under-23 strokeplay championship in Auckland yesterday. Brake, who led from the first round, closed with a one-under 72 for a championship card of nine-under 210. Cecilia Cho of Pakuranga finished on 211, four strokes ahead of 2008 champion Emily Perry, of Waikato's Lochiel club. Fourth was 11-year-old Lydia Ko, of Pupuke, with a total of 218.
