Daniel Hillier has continued his hot start to the DP World Tour season and remains in the hunt at the midway stage of the Qatar Masters.
Hillier sits in a share of third place two shots back from leader Patrick Reed following the second round.
Hillier has four top-five finishesin his opening five events of the season and could leap to third on the season standings with another top-five finish.
He carded a second-round three-under 69 to move to 10-under for the tournament after holding a share of the lead with Reed after day one. Masters champion Reed leads at 12-under, a shot ahead of Sweden’s Joakim Lagergren.
Kiwi Kazuma Kobori also sits in the top 10 at seven-under following a second-round 70 after opening with 67.
On the PGA Tour, Ryan Fox has made the cut in his season debut at the WM Phoenix Open. Fox carded his second straight 69 to sit at four-under and a share of 28th when the second round was suspended with a few players yet to complete their rounds.
Japan’s Ryo Hisatsune leads at 11-under, one shot ahead of compatriot Hideki Matsuyama. World No 1 Scottie Scheffler bounced back with a six-under 65 after opening with a 73 on day one.
