Orlando - Kiwi golfer Craig Perks placed sixth at the Disney Classic in Orlando today.
The win will strengthen the Palmerston North golfer's bid for a place on next year's US PGA Tour, after he shot a final round eight-under-par 64 to finish on a 72-hole total of 270.
Perks must finish
in the top 125 on the money list to secure a place on the tour, after dropping to 128th place two weeks ago.
Perks finished four shots behind tournament winner Argentinian Jose Coceres. The latter sank a 1.5-metre par putt at the final hole to win the $NZ8.27 million tournament, one stroke ahead of American Davis Love III.
World No 1 Tiger Woods finished seven shots off the pace after a final round 69.
