New Zealand golfer Brad Heaven has kept pace with the best players in the United States at one of that country's top amateur tournaments.
The Aucklander, who has attended college in the US for some years, was the third top qualifier at the Western Amateur in Michigan.
Heaven, 21, shot seven-under-par 277 in four rounds of strokeplay around the Point O'Woods course.
