Soccer: Old Bhoy to coach Phoenix

Former Glasgow Celtic and Scotland goalkeeper Jonathan Gould has joined Wellington Phoenix as an assistant coach for the 2009-2010 A-League season.

Gould, who had been head coach of New Zealand league team Hawkes Bay United since 2006, will work under Ricki Herbert at Phoenix, which plays in Australia's top-flight football competition.

Gould, 40, played for the Bhoys between 1997-2003 and represented Scotland twice.
