Football Federation Australia's referees boss Ben Wilson has apologised to coach Ernie Merrick for the blunders which saw the Phoenix draw two-all with the Melbourne Heart.
Referee Ben Williams made a number of controversial decisions in the match, the second week in a row the Phoenix felt they were onthe wrong side of the decisions.
Merrick says Wilson has phoned him up and he's happy enough to leave it at that.
He says Ben Williams is generally a very good referee.
But Merrick says unfortunately Ben Wilson can't control the review process, which he'd like to see reinstated to deal with incidents after a game.
