Roy O'Donovan feels Manny Muscat should get an Oscar for his dive when he headbutted him in their recent A-League match.
The Central Coast Mariners striker and Phoenix defender have been cited by Football Federation Australia for their on-pitch altercation on New Years Eve.
O'Donovan says he was elbowed inthe face a number of times and the headbutt didn't have that much force.
"He's gone down like a movie star there; he'll get an Oscar for that, he timed it perfect," he told Fox Sports.
Referee Kris Griffiths-Jones seemingly missed the headbutt that sparked a brief all-in melee and came moments after Muscat had raised his elbow to O'Donovan's head.
But instead of sending O'Donovan off, Griffiths-Jones stunningly showed the Irishman a yellow card - one of nine in the feisty affair won 3-1 by the Mariners.
