Senegal were shellshocked and soon two goals down after Gabriel galloped forward into oceans of space, leaving them desperately short at the back. Guilherme was in acres of space on the right and Gabriel timed his pass to the forward perfectly before he fired past Sy to make it 2-0 after just seven minutes.
Senegal were hanging on for dear life and Guilherme hit the outside of the post before Boschilia scored their third on 19 minutes.
Jean Carlos played a clever one two with Guilherme on the left and he drilled across the box where Sy could only parry into the path of the onrushing Boschilia who couldn't miss from close range.
Senegal did have brief glimpses of hope and Brazil's keeper Jean, hero of the quarter-final shootout win over Portugal, had to make a superb finger tip save from Sidney Sarr's venomous volley which crashed back off the bar.
Brazil were soon on the offensive again as Jorge was forward from left-back and he effortlessly weaved his way through some tepid tackling to find himself one on one with Sy.
He calmly slid the ball past the helpless keeper to make it 4-0 and Senegal's evening was soon made worse when Elimane Cisse picked up a second yellow card for a petulant trip on Guilherme just before half time.
The second half was uncomfortable viewing for Senegalese supporters as Brazil were in cruise control and their fifth goal was the most pleasing on the eye.
Some excellent and incisive passing allowed Boschilia space to square to Guilherme who doubled his tally with 12 minutes remaining and round off their comfortable win.
