Soccer: Perth Glory close in on Australian minor premiership

Perth Glory are within sight of yet another minor premiership after their 2-0 win over Wollongong Wolves.

The West Australians held an eight-point lead over Parramatta Power after that win but the Sydneysiders had a chance to reduce the gap with last night's home game against Brisbane Strikers.

Brisbane are likely to hold on to their place in the top six but the scramble for that last play-off spot promises a battle royal.
