Wellington Phoenix utility Louis Fenton is set to miss the start of the A-League season after dislocating his shoulder in a pre-season friendly today.
Fenton is out for six to eight weeks after suffering the blow in the Phoenix 1-1 draw against New Zealand A in Rotorua.
The 20-year-old willundergo scans later in the week to see if there is any further damage.
Stein Huysegems opened the scoring for the Phoenix before halftime, but Aaron Clapham equalised in the second spell.
A handful of Phoenix-contracted players, including goal-keeper Glen Moss, captain Andrew Durante and striker Jeremy Brockie turned out for the New Zealand selection.
