Save ZURICH (AP) Peru has accepted its FIFA punishment for crowd trouble and will play its final home World Cup qualifying match in an empty stadium.
FIFA says Peru will host Bolivia in Lima on Oct. 15 "without spectators." Both teams are already eliminated.
Peru has withdrawn its appeal against
the sanction, having previously won a ruling to freeze the order until the case was finally judged.
FIFA acted following "crowd disturbance incidents" at Peru's 2-1 loss against Uruguay in Lima on Sept. 6.
FIFA ordered Peru to pay a fine of 20,000 Swiss francs ($22,100).
