A New Zealand-based England fan forked out $320 for a ticket to see his team's World Cup opener against Tunisia in Russia after flying all the way from New Zealand – only to have his view obstructed by a TV camera.
Ian Perry had flown more than 10,000 miles towatch the Three Lions get their World Cup campaign underway in Volgograd on Monday, The Mirror reports.
But after paying face value for a Category One ticket to the match, the 42-year-old was stunned to find a cameraman was blocking his view of the pitch.
"I couldn't believe it," Mr Perry, who is from Preston but lives in Wellington, told the Mirror.
