Fifa shorts: Too laid-back for his own good

He could have been forgiven for being laid-back - after all his team were 1-0 up in their World Cup quarter-final - but perhaps not quite so far.

Argentina head coach Alejandro Sabella had watched, delighted, as Gonzalo Huguain put his side ahead early in yesterday's game against Belgium, but was less impressed when the same player smashed a great chance against the bar midway through the second half. Sabella reacted by closing his eyes and leaning back, but the 59-year-old lost his balance and ended up spinning and hurtling towards the dugout before being caught by other members of the Argentina coaching staff.

The South Americans hung on to book a semifinal match against the Netherlands.
